FLORVERDE SUSTAINABLE FLOWERS is being recognized again for GLOBALG.A.P in the Resembling Scheme (similar scheme).
The companies interested in the FSF certification - GLOBALG.A.P, as well as the FSF Technical Secretariat, have been waiting for this news since the beginning of 2017.
We are pleased to share with you that on November 9th, the Executive Director of GLOBALG.AP notified the Technical Secretariat of Florverde Sustainable Flowers of its FSF recognition as a similar scheme (Resembling scheme) for Flowers and Ornamentals.
Under this scheme, the public will be informed that both certification schemes are similar in such a way that with the approval of all requirements of Florverde Sustainable Flowers, in addition to its registration in the GG database, a producer will carry on its certificate* the GGN (GLOBALG.AP Number) and the name of this certification, and can use the name of GLOBALG.AP in business communications and the GGN that identifies the certificate in its final products.
This achievement comes after a long year in which it was demonstrated again that FSF is the best certification scheme for sustainable flowers, which goes beyond the technical and environmental elements of GG. FSF is aligned with the global trends of sustainability certification schemes, providing end users with multiple tools for continuous improvement, including a third-party certification.
We promote sustainable flowers for the wellbeing of all.
Florverde Sustainable Flowers is the label only for the best!
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Currently, two certification bodies that have accreditation to certify FSF, also have approval for GLOBALG.A.P, as it follows:
ICONTEC: accredited in FSF and in GLOBALG.A.P
Naturacert: accredited in FSF and with provisional approval of GLOBALG.A.P
Rainforest Alliance certification encourages farmers to grow crops and manage ranchlands sustainably. Because it's certification system is built on the three pillars of sustainability -- environmental protection, social equity and economic viability -- and no single pillar can support long-term success on its own, it help farmers improve in all three areas.
GLOBALG.A.P. today is the world's leading farm assurance program, translating consumer requirements into Good Agricultural Practice in a rapidly growing list of countries – currently more than 100.
