Florverde has a set of economic indicators that helps minimize the socio-environmental risk of certified farms, develop organizational skills and creates new markets for these farms.

The standard has 20 general indicators in order to quantify the values ​​and measure them. 8 of these are about economics.

Pesticide consumption cost

Monthly cost incurred by companies for the use of chemical pesticides, which includes the total cost of the monthly consumption of the commercial products used and the costs related to the labor in charge of applying them.

Cost of accident

This indicator will make evident the expenses incurred by the company for each employee who is injured on the farm. These costs include the hours of absence, the hiring of replacement labor, the costs associated with the readaptation or relocation of the worker if required. With this information, programs for the prevention of accidents in the crop can be promoted to prevent or minimize these costs.

Surface water recollection cost

Quantification of the cost of collecting groundwater used for the production of flowers in a given time.

Groundwater recollection cost

Assessment of the costs derived from the collection of water from surface sources used for the production of flowers in a given time.

Rainwater harvesting cost

Evaluation of the costs associated with the use of rainwater in the production of flowers in a given period.

Cost of water used in irrigation

Measure of the costs associated with the use of water that comes from surface sources, underground and rainwater, which is used for irrigation in the production of flowers in a given time.

Cost of energy

Quantification of the cost of the electrical energy that is required for the production of flowers in a given time.

Cost of product non-conformity

Track crop productivity by recording non-exported flower quantities.
