Florverde Sustainable Flowers is a third-party certification scheme that guarantees responsible practices in the production of flowers and ornamentals. Its approach is based on three fundamental pillars: environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and economic efficiency.

Florverde’s evaluation process involves independent audits that verify compliance with standards in areas such as efficient resource use, environmental impact reduction, worker well-being, and the implementation of good agricultural practices.

It is supported by strategic international partners, strengthening its credibility in global markets. Its impact is reflected in improved working conditions, ecosystem protection, and the promotion of more sustainable agriculture, providing peace of mind and confidence to producers and consumers alike.

CECODES for 25 years has led the transformation and advancement of sustainable development in the different business sectors, convinced that this is an option to achieve greater profitability, improve people’s quality of life and rationally use of natural resources. Since its creation, it has promoted among its associated companies and other interest groups, innovative schemes to contribute to environmental, economic and social development.

The eco.business Fund is a joint initiative of investors’ intent on supporting the promotion of business and consumption practices that contribute to biodiversity conservation, the sustainable use of natural resources, climate change mitigation and adaptation to its impacts. In providing financing to the fund’s target group for investing in activities that conserve nature and foster biodiversity, the eco.business Fund seeks investments that yield both financial and environmental returns.

Floricode is a central point of support to which the supply chain can turn for the registrations, standards and codes it needs for its information management.

With the project launched a few years ago and known as ‘Location Codes in the Floriculture Supply Chain’, the floriculture sector has taken a step into the future of doing business online.

FSI gathered leaders of the sector in the supply chain in Europe, with a view to ensuring that by 2025 some 90 percent of the flowers and plants available in the market are produced in a sustainable way. FSI has the initiative called FSI Basket where Florverde Sustainable Flowers is one of the 16 Voluntary Sustainable Standards and Schemes shows that are fully transparent, comparable and by means of independent benchmarking, complying with Good Agricultural Practices, Environmental and/or Social basic requirements.

An online database of the ITC (International Trade Centre), the joint agency of the United Nations and the WTO, which enables, analyses and reviews of over 75 sustainability standards and audit protocols, among which Florverde, using a unique set of 700+ social, environmental and economic criteria, audit best practices and good governance models.
